Thomas train recall

Hey mommies out there...(particularly mommies of boys)

I know i don't always get to check the news but i saw this this morning and checked online to get more info.

Turns out there is a recall on some Thomas the Train toys, due to lead paint used.

Anyway here is the info i copied from the http://www.todayshow.com/ website:

Manufactured in: China
Remedy: Consumers should take the recalled toys away from young children immediately and contact RC2 Corp. for a replacement toy.
Consumer Contact: For additional information, contact RC2 Corp. toll-free at (866) 725-4407 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT Monday through Thursday and between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. CT Friday, or visit the firm’s Web site at recalls.rc2.com

I just forwarded an email about this to a bunch of mommies before I caught up on blogs. Luckily not a problem at our house, but there will be a lot of upset little boys when their trains are taken away.

Thanks for finding and posting all the info. We actually have the metal cast sets with the plastic track pieces instead of wood. Whew! I don't know what Andrew would do if he had to part with James, James's coal car, or Skarloey. Particularly at this moment in time when he back on trains bigtime!
