What a great idea!
Any tricks up your sleeve for encouraging speech for children with low oral muscle tone (Down syndrome)? Also, I'd like apraxia explained in layman's terms. A speech therapist kind of casually threw that out at me recently as a possible reason for the difficulty in reproducing sounds and I don't really know much about it.
I am so glad you are taking the time to do this. So many have questions about their child's speech development and don't have the time or the funds to get answers. I will pray for you to have the time to keep up with this endeavor.
I really enjoyed reading your talktips blog. I also read through your apraxia dallas info. First, great picture of you in there. Second, your profile is so impressive! It's interesting how our lives become so... truncated (?). Hard to come up with the right word. Where we leave so much of ourselves behind as we focus on our kiddos. We mommies are such interesting women beyond the darling babies who currently consume us.
