How did they know i live in Dallas?

Saw this quiz on Christy's blog...funny that spent 25 years in the midwest and 4 in Dallas and it says my accent could mean i'm from dallas!

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The West

Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta.

The Midland
Boston
North Central
The South
The Inland North

They say I'm from Dallas too. I guess that's where I belong, huh?

And I'm glad you had a great weekend. I know those "mommy moments".

i have the same results as you do... but i'm from the east. however, there is no "east" option. we in the mid-atlantic have no accents. baltimore and up north do, WVA does, NC does, but DC, not so much.

SO FUNNY! Heather, Tracy & I just taught vowels last Friday in our Accent Reduction class, and we've ALWAYS fought over "cot" vs. "caught"... I laughed that this is what the majority of the quiz is about! Well, it pegged me to: The Inland North. I guess my Michigan accent is still strong enough to shine through ;)
